EDUCATED YOUNG PARENTS OF THE UPSTATE
The Full Story
About
Educated Young Parents of the Upstate is my Capstone Project idea. I created this to bring community and education to young parents like me. I was pregnant at 18, gave birth at 19, and am now preparing to walk across the stage for my Bachelor's degree at age 24. Life has been a journey, but it has been worth living because of my sweet daughter, Zoe. Educated Young Parents of the Upstate (EYPU) was created with young parents like you in mind.
Mission
My mission is to serve young parents ages 16-25 with education, motivation, and elevation in mind. I want to educate young parents on things that often get overlooked, but are crucial to helping you parent your child the way they need to be parented. I want to motivate parents because parenting doesn't come with a manual. We need to support and motivate one another as best as we can. I want to help elevate parents for the betterment of themselves and their children. We're here to break chains and grow.
Vision
While Educated Young Parents of the Upstate is a capstone project I am doing in college, it is also a huge passion of mine. I want to see this continue long after I have graduated. The project is step one in the process to a much bigger goal. But for now, education, motivation, and elevation is the goal for every young parent that comes to these workshops.
